  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

News on public beta release of STORM

Right now MC Color is currently the only supported panel in Storm for now at least.

Thanks Jim. I'm going through the EUCon to remap the Soft Keys for Storm. Any tips would be great but I think that I should join your class and bug you on the FXPHD forum instead!

What!? I was under the impression that Storm is Windows based! So it's going to be ported from mac? That's a surprise !! (to me) :ohmy:

So if STORM is coming in November for mac when can we expect the Win7 version?

"System Requirements:
STORM requires a Mac Pro, MacBook pro or iMac with at least 2GB RAM running Snow Leopard. If a RED ROCKET card is fitted, STORM will use it to speed up processing of R3D material."

We will update on the Windows port once the first public beta is out later this month.

Any updates on Storm? I start a new Red feature in a couple weeks and would really like to try Storm on that show.

It would have been really nice to beta test Storm on the Arri Alexa feature I am finishing right now, if you guys had Alexa support yet. I have another Alexa feature coming up in Jan if you need someone to test Storm with Alexa.

Hi Dusty,

We should have news on the release in a few days, but right now it looks like the end of the month.

No Alexa support yet I'm afraid. We want to make sure we've got the feature set right for R3D first.
 
I can't wait to have one suite to do grading etc with Red and Alexa footage.
Where do I sign up for testing?

Today is the last day of the month...

Perhaps a delay been necessary to add RedGamma2 and RedColor2?
 
I know it's tough to wait for releases, but having been working with The Foundry on this software, I can say that it has become everything that The Foundry has promised, and more.

You guys are going to love this software!!

I tried to exchange some gifts from a coffee shop for an early beta at IBC with no luck...

obviouslly it won't be 'november' but some estimation would be appreciated...
