  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Newer V-Mount Options?

Mark, how much longer till we can buy these? I'm in need of new batteries pretty desperately.
 
What are the specs on the various models in terms of wh, weight, etc? Wondering if they will be useful for power hungry cameras.
 
Mark, have you put these on a Weapon. Are they "low profile" in a similar way to the AB Cine series?
 
Slim is good, but I was hoping for a newer form factor (Sony olivine, Redvolt XL). Beta SP days are gone..
 
What's the quality on the Hypercore series of batts like? I have had many Switronix v-locks over the last three years and they all die a year in with relatively low cycles (I'm not doing 5 production days a week).

I'm reluctant to throw more money at these guys but I'd like a slim v-mount solution.

nice work, that was hilarious, made it easy to watch…also may have turned me to the bauer side, ugh why are they so ugly though! oh well, really on sale for 229?
 
We are actually in talks with Switronix about doing a followup test with them, so early next year you may see a new video from us including them and some other models in the mix :-)

But these are pretty tough to make so it'll probably just be the control tests and not some of the weird stuff we put them through in the other episodes. For example, this HEAT TEST that just came out!


We're still editing these episodes together so please give us some feedback if you got any. Also please subscribe if you like them, it helps us make more tests like these with different gear for you lovely gear geeks, you. :-)

seems like anton bauer always performs the best!
do they make a light weight travel charger?
