  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NEW YORK + EPIC

Looks great! Could you provide some 1080p or 2K Quicktime files of the video?

Color graded in REDCINE-X 356E

I really love to do colorgrading on .RED files ! On this one, I wanted to apply a grading in the Comics book movie/film noir style. Added some red in REDCINEX that bounces on wall & model's face.

Quick grade, love working with this stuff. wonderfully shot Jarred, I'm not sure which to complement more, your lighting and style, or the epic, I'll just assume it's a combination of both you and epic that have produced these... epic frames.

Thanks and keep them coming.... please

edit: this was graded using redlogfilm, I love's me some redlog, oh the goodness!

Jarred,

I know you've been a fan of the B2 lights for quite a while now. So which ones do you favor and which did you use for these shots? Very, very nice, shows great care with your lighting.

Really great images, perfect combination - gritty textured locations with extremely striking models in a kind of punk noir wrapper. Thanks for giving a shot to play with always love to play ;)

WOW!!!!!!! I reiterate what Ketch said, these look like they were shot on a 40 MPG Hassy or Leica S2 ... really stunning! Since I won't be doing too much print or blowing up images large -- I really think the Epic will cover my still needs amazingly well.

Sorry if this was asked -- but did you shoot them all on tripod or some handheld as well?

Anthony

I too really like this second one. Like you said, very classic, silvery, soft look. Did you add some diffusion outside of RCX or was that all done with just color corrections in RCX?

Wow, this is the first time I've actually played around with REDCINE and an R3D. I'm completely blown away! It's typical my uni puts a request for funds to buy a RED just before I leave, really makes me wana cry!!! I will get my hands on a RED... ONE DAY!

This is another one of my favorites. Extremely impressive! Are you sure this is your first time playing with RedcineX?

I love that we have so much res to crop with PLUS the infinite creative possibilities of 30FPS... Move over Blad.
