Could be anywhere in the world today.
As alot of you may know, I do shoot alot of aerials within my commercials, as most of our jobs are quite large so we are lucky enough to be able to get some big toys on set to be able to shoot images that are somewhat to expensive for most.
I feel very lucky and blessed to be in this position.

Anyways... I want to share some images from NY today. I've shot in many corners of the world, but today was a bit of a dream for ma as I have been wanting to shoot NY (properly) for some time now. And a great project popped up where I could unleash the lens upon the city for quite a few hours. capturing about 100+ stunning images from dawn to dusk.
Perfect weather, a great camera, within a fantastic stabilised head, And a few spare heli time hours on tap, I ended up haveing the best time shooting one of the greatest cities in the world.

Thanks to Jason Diamond for sharing the name of a very solid pilot with great NY knowledge. Made a huge differnce with many options.

Just sharing. :)

Absolutely amazing images, Mark! Lady Liberty never looked so good. I love the full moon next to the Chrysler Building. Stunning work as always. #jealous.

Ohh yeah man. Thanks for sharing. I'm also in NY in about 2 weeks. I love that city, it's my favorite of them all.
You made my day. Now I even more look forward to NY.

Thanks mate.
Rock on

Great images! If those aren't bound to the project you shot for then you could sell the rest of the footage to companies all over the world as stock footage. Getting 6K Raw files of aerial New York is a gold mine as stock footage files

Stunning images.

Are these ungraded straight from the camera? The pinkish tint is not so pleasing on some of them, I guess it's STH OLPF...

The colour tones were coming from a very pink warm glow falling over the city as the sun was pushing through thin clouds.
Shot with low light OLPF.

Beautiful shots Mark. Always happy to help :)

I always thought getting sunrise and sunset on the city lends itself to incredible imagery. The fact that you got both a perfect weather day and a full moon were bonus!

Ahhhh... the most beautiful city in the world, my city. These are some seriously gorgeous images Mark, thank you for sharing.

Images are best when they stir an emotion in the viewer, as the did with me... claustrophobia. "-)

Amazing. Great subject + talent = fantastic images. Nice work.

Great work! In my experience renting helicopter with removed doors and mentioning "film" might make aerial work up to 5x as expensive as in other places like Las Vegas, LA etc. Does anyone know a reliable and reasonable priced Heli company around Manhattan? Thanks in advance!!!
