  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New wireless HDMI Monitoring System for $275

And are people plugging the transmitter directly into the Red HDMI port, or do you need to connect it via male to female HDMI cable?

The transmitter cannot fit into the HDMI port on the epic due to the size of the nyrius, and for functionality's sake its better to build a collection of HDMI adaptors and short/long cables for whatever scenario. I always mount mine on the 'Dummy side'

Thanks Karl. So I need a female to male HDMI cable, female end into the transmitter and male end directly into the Red?

In my kit I have - F2M 90 degree right, F2M 90 degree down, F2M 90 degree swivel, F2F Coupler, 8" F2M Cable, 3ft F2M Cable, 3ft M2M Cable, 6ft M2M Cable + adaptors to work with DVI, Mini and Micro HDMI. Right now im working on getting an HDMI splitter box and a HDMI to SDI box.

If the kit is only for your camera then do some measurements and figure out exactly where you would like it to live on your kit and buy what will get you there. I work with a lot of different cameras on a daily basis so I needed to build a kit that could accommodate almost anything.

So, if this thing is single channel does it mean that you can only have one on set, no dual camera set ups? For the price it looks like a sweet device to have on the camera case.
