  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The 1920x1080 400MB download version appears to be quite popular; I get an error "This video cannot be downloaded anymore today."

Any chance of putting it up on a file hosting site? I'm not sure the 1280x720 32MB version will do it full justice.
 
Yes I will try to get that up on my site soon. I think Vimeo only allows a few hundred downloads a day.

Your artistry is beyond reproach.
I hope your spirit matches.
The still of the Soul Consoling Tower at Manzanar WWII Incarceration Camp is prominently displayed at the top of this post and on your blog.
I hope all who view that image don't just think it is just an interesting form or prop with some "oriental" writing.
I hope that in your final cut you somehow convey the truth that this was a place of great pain for my community and a place of special injustice in this country.
In some ways it hurts to see the reaction of the "boys" to the Coachella Girls when that painful image is a part of the mix.
I hope you understand what I mean and find a resolution.

Steve, don't worry. I share your thoughts about Manzanar. That is NOT my final shot for the my film. I've filmed it 4 times already. My hope is to do justice to the memory of that place and what happened there.
 
Thanks, Tom. I can enjoy your work even more now, knowing the heart that's behind it. If you ever need help with the Manzanar aspect let me know. Though your reputation will open a lot of doors, and the NPS folks are usually very helpful and knowledgable, PM me any time and I'd be glad to help. I've gotten to know a lot of people over the last few decades.

And if you don't mind considering a suggestion, the guard tower reproduction near the fenceline on 395 has a similar profile to the Soul Consoling Tower.
