  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New video "TimeScapes: Rapture" (lots of MX footage)

Absolutly freaking amazing!! Red footage blends in like charm. I also adore your motivation for working together with talents and enthusiasts. Like Sanjin I really hope there will be a way for him to go do that. Would there also be an oppertunity to get someone like Paulo Castillo involved?? You know him right...with that marvelous programmed crane movement. That would fit you production seemless! Thanks for sharing a lot of stuff anyway, gets everybody stoked!! Wish you all the best.

Awesome. I started to comment on a couple shots, but then realized I would like to comment on them all. Can't wait to see this film!

Were the balloon shots in Albuquerque? I was there the day before the balloon rally, but couldn't hang around for it. I probably just missed you.

Always love your footage! Great stuff.

I want to see this in 4K in a cinema. This is amazing work. And by the looks of it, you endure some hardship to get these images. Thanks for doing that.

The shots of the Milky Way moving across the sky makes me feel like Earth is balanced on the head of a pin and we're all likely to fall off it at some point. You have taken the Firma out of the Terra for me. The world can be a strange and beautiful place when its free of the constraints of time. Great work, Man!

I think the word I used with Tom was "Stunning!"

I've admired your work for a while now, and you keep improving your craft. I really look forward to each bit we get to see. Thank you for sharing this preview. I've shared it with a few non-ciema people now. It's gotten a wonderful reception! (Just thought you'd like to know that.)

Simply outstanding my Brother! And the best part of it is that, however wholeheartedly I agree with everybody's assertions about the level of accomplishment in your art, I can also tell you're still young and getting better at this art with every long exposure...

Who says the Gulf War veterans are a messed up bunch? :-)

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Jim Jannard, Graeme, Jarred, Deanan and the whole Red Team. I could not and would not be shooting this film now if it were not for Jim and Red. Period. There is no way I would trust my dreams to a Sony EX1, etc, and with film I could never have done this because of the costs and other restraints. Not to mention that I think MX simply look better than chemical film.

Tom, your work looks fantastic, and I think most of us feel the same way you do about being indebted to Jim and the gang. Red has opened doors that were simply not possible before the advent of the R1. It's only going to get better.

Keep up the great work. Your dedication is shining through.

Great footage Tom! You are ahead of your time!

I'd love to see this in 4k!

Dave
