Hi! So I went to DaVinci after being told that in order to change my 422 sequence from FCPP7 back to the original RED Raws, I would need to bring it into DaVinci through XML and was told it'd automatically conform with the updated 4k RAWs in my Media Pool. Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't conform. instead I'm still stuck with the 2k 422 footage.

Any tips on how I'd basically "switch" the clips from 422 to RAW?

Thanks!

Use Redcine-x. Export an XML out of final cut. Go into RCX and import the XML linking to the folder with the RAW files. You can work off the raw files in RCX and then render out from there. If you are wanting to get to the actual RAW files in FCP7, that's really impossible and there's no reason to do so because it's not a color grading program..

I'm not trying to get the RAWs in FCP7. I'm trying to get my final product to revert back to the original RAWs (4k) rather than it being in compressed 2k.
So would I do that same? Just take the XML, throw it into RCX, and render the files from there?
