Hi Jarred, any time frame on when these 32GB cards will make it in the store? Thinking I may shift from the idea of getting 4 256GB cards to getting one 512GB and a bunch of 32s. I actually am already a little paranoid about filling a 64GB card...

its all about options.. you wanted more.. so we gave you more. Cheaper, slower cards for the budget minded Scarlet customer or the Epic guys that shoot with lower data rate demands, and Ferrari-fast cards for people that want to shoot high frame rates with even less compression or are anticipating DRAGON.
I'm really impressed by all of the offerings this year, guys. Huge kudos to you.

Smooth Rock'n!

Will the 32GB cards be availible for order today/this week? ...I'm also thinking 4pack

Can I get it in Boysenberry blue?

the 32gb seems to be a nice firmware SSD or a nice card to start the abby or martini on so the DIT can start dumping the bigger card earlier. Would make a good on set indication that were close to wrapping when the grey SSD gets inserted.

To early to make that decision. Depends on price of Red colored media and the redcode setting allowed for 6k.

my guess if 'priced to match' means what i think it means...

32 LOW = $250
512 TURBO = $12,000

I'm thinking 3200 * 2... so $6400.

I'm thinking the 512 turbo to be more like $5,000... maybe $5500.

EDIT: Maybe even less if the price of flash memory falls. Red has a history of reducing the cost of media without reducing the price, ala when they doubled the capacity of the Red Drive and kept the price the same.

Is there going to be a "lower end" series - e.g. 64, 128, 256gig - that are all half the current data rate and priced to match, or just the 32gb?

sorry guys... there's no way. the 32 has HALF the datarate and the 512 has DOUBLE. definitely going to be over 6,400, probably at least 10k... come on now. we're talking about reality, not 'what i'd like to pay'. sure, that would be awesome if it was a nickel... not gonna happen.
