  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Scarlet Footage (Live acoustic session) Posting tonight!

Mitch - "The audio was recorded using sennhesier lavs to the wooden camera Abox along with some Zoomh2's. Stay tuned!"

Thanks for the post mitch, can you go deeper about the audio topic. What were your connections into the scarlet, was this at mic level?

Mitch this came out so beautiful; thanks for inspiring me even more on this camera. And that music...I'm a full blown new yorker who grew up on all kinds of urban flavors, but since I was a child this southern flavored rock is the music that moves me the most, and the reason why I became a guitar player...i just love it
Thanks for sharing Mitch

Mitch,

Great stuff... any "behind the scenes" footage or pics to post?

Great stuff, love the look and feel and thoroughly enjoyed the band too. I'd love to see it on youtube with the 4k enabled. Have you watched any "original" file size videos on youtube? It's pretty incredible how much better the quality is. I hope my friends at Vimeo can get 4K streaming, or at least get the 1080p to be a little more smooth.

Amazing work! Loved how everything looked and I love the music too. Such an organic piece all around. The picture and audio was crisp. How could one not want to shoot that kind of picture ALL THE TIME!? Don't worry guys, I guarantee good still lenses will produce an AMAZING image as well. They sure did on the Red One and they do on the Epic, so why wouldn't they on Scarlet? :)

17-50 is not the fastest one, for this setup canon f/1,8 - 1,4 would look much better

That depends. If you can shoot F2.8 handheld at 800 ISO, I wouldn't shoot more wide open. Focusing is a pain. I think Mitch did a great job with his exposure.

so the wooden camera a-box works well, what was was the in camera input level in DB? Did it just work plug and play?
