What we'd like to confirm is that boot up is reliable for everyone, and also the behavior with RED-DRIVE and RED-RAMs.

Both of these should be fine based on our internal testing... but validating these on multiple in-field units is why we do Beta...

Build 21 not showing up..

Build 21 not showing up..

I'm not seeing the new build 21 up yet? anyone else?

It's under the BETA section of the support page,

been testing it for a couple hours now, recording a few clips and playing them back, seems to work just fine so far.

Thanks..

Thanks..

One day I'll learn to read the ENTIRE post...

Don't know why, Stuart, but your posts always calm me. While others.... make me send my hand to my wallet to feel it is still in my pocket

So far so good- no problems yet- I'll be shooting with build 21 more tomorrow- If I come across anything I'll be sure to let you know. :)

* Verified Image Magnify function lock-out during record.

Hey Brent, can you explain this one to me? Does it mean we can finally record while in magnify (to check focus during a take) or does it mean you locked it out even more than before?

Still hoping to be able to toggle magnify during a take. My takes are 90 minutes long! :cryin:

Cheers, :cheers2:

Jim

Updated it yesterday. Seems to work fine except it got stuck in the record mode (tally on but not recording). Not sure what I did, may have pushed 'magnify' during the take.
Had to power down and then it worked fine.

Did couple of jobs with 21.3 with no problems whatsoever though.

Just came back from a morning of shooting in 20 degree (F) weather, and still not issues. But I am shooting on CF cards.

no zoom during record (i think the Red one guts just cannot handle the load)

Latest 21 beta built had a bug where it would remove lookaround and say it was in zoom mode (when shooting 4.5 K) without really zooming but thinking it was. This display "problem" has now been fixed. Gotta wait for our epic/scarlet to have a zoom during record feature

My camera is one of the ones that was having a booting issue (back LCD would often blink before booting... sometimes for long periods of time)... and the issue seems to be RESOLVED! I've booted it almost a dozen times today with all monitoring and the RED Drive plugged in, and there's been no blinking delays--:hurray:

Thanks RED -- You guys always seem to have our back!

Well, spoke too soon -- today my camera decided to blink again after a battery swap -- trying to power up with EVF, LCD, RED Drive, and HDMI all plugged in was too much I guess. Will the new build solve this at all? Either way it looks like I'm bringing in my camera next week.
