  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Reel... helmet on.

Truly great ! Congratulations ! Very American

Jarred had a lot of input I would think and he is canadian by birth...so North American would be a better way to characterize it.

A download definitly doesn't do it justice. Not compared to seeing it on the 60 foot wide IBC BIG screen. Thanks for that, and reel 400. Ee got to see both, 400 from Red Ray. Jim made excuses, for it was apparently not quite correctly compressed... ?! Looked awesome! I prefer 400 to 500 personally, more variety of images.

Anyhow both look gorgeous and inspire to go out there and make more beautiful images.

The Epic prototype looked good too (that's un undrestimate), soon...

Cheers Red team, and thanXs,
Damien

Am I the only one having difficulty playing it on a PC? :badputer:

Awesome.
The quality of each shot was just so sharp. Really makes me even more anxious to join the Red family when Scarlet comes.

It worked fine on my PC using VLC media player.

Ahhh, silly me. I was trying to play MOV files with Apple Quicktime Pro for Windows. Why on earth Apple would get that to work? :sarcasm:

No problem with VLC :biggrin5:

Lol, glad it worked, looks awesome =)

woow that was fun ... and camel too :w00t:

...(except exploding head)

Gail watched it ...
her comment ...

"Nothing in it for the female filmmaker"

What suprised me is poor keying of girls head at 2:56 (dark outline around her right ear) and she somehow just doesnt fit well with background enviroment.

... ok that is post thing and hasnt nothing to do with camera

thank you very much for the link.

while it looked much better on the big screen @ IBC i have a couple of questions:

- did you show a different version in amsterdam? I had the feeling the exploding head looked different ...?

- what does the 400 and 500 stand for?

- while watching the "old" RedReel400 on my laptop I always had the impression of some stuttering motion especially on the motorboat - @IBC i had not - so maybe this stuttering motion discussion is all about consumer displays?

anyway, was nice to meet ginger, jim and jarred and i love the new prototypes ;-)

best wishes,
martin

ha ha there isnt really alot of Patriotism in Canada.. Most Canadians would just prefer to be called Americans and secretly most dream of just being adopted by the United States of America... well except for those crazy French-Canadians maybe.

Let's see how much trouble that statement gets me in :)

I'm with you Jarred, but the politically correct thing is to pan everything American and say how much better it is here, and oh ya, ... we have free health care which is fantastic, unless you get sick!
