  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

new RED Pro Program...

Something beautiful to dream about before I go to sleep...

all these new renders and grabs

I am gonna get lost somewhere along the line...mental note leave breadcrumbs to rediscover my brain at later date!!!

You really do love that render SW don't you Mr J!

It could be used for the "REDMOTE"

True, could be used to extend the area of coverage, but never seen this antennae before and the red-mote has always been included in the renders. PLUS, in order for the red-motes coverage extension to be usable, it would need it's own antennae. I guess I'm just assuming there is a built in antennae in the brain for the standard Red-mote usage.

The antenna has been in at least two other renders...I'm liking the idea of remote video monitoring rather than extended distance of REDMOTE!!! =0

I Just noticed the antennae on the Top on the Brain (or I/O) near the EVF. WHATHECRAP?!

Its on the I/O module. What my guess is (which would be awesome!) is that you can detach the I/O module from the body and use it wirelessly.

Imagine how awesome that would be to have the Scarlet on a steadicam or a jib and have the I/O module attached to the boom operator or something. No messy cables or anything around the rig.

If I am right about my theory, you guys should make some sort of holster for the I/O Module so you can wear it on your belt or something.

Could even be for wireless preview monitoring. Who knows? Well Jim knows. :p

Thanks

Thanks

You can't... this is a second handle.

This looks perfect. Reminded me of Rodney Charter's rig.

Mr Jannard, I want to thank you personally. I don't want to sound pretentious, but it feels to me like you listened. Maybe just enough people screamt "bloody murder" afterall:w00t:
This makes this company great, incorporating feedback before releasing your product, even from "nobodies".

Jim I have been reading about the 2/3 complete kit scarlet and one thing that is bothering me is are the modules in the kit going to be up to par with the others? It's just something that at least for me is a decision maker on which brain I would purchase.

Here is the Mac-Daddy shoulder rig... remember, we are showing you stuff we have already beaten.

This is EASILY my favorite render of all that have been posted. I just sat there laughing and smiling, even more then when I saw the actual metal prototype pics form a few days ago. This looks fantastic--the perfect combination of comfort and functionality. I can only hope to see a real image of this set up.

Jim just stated in this thread (post) that the fixed lens Scarlet would come with audio but not as high quality as the A/V module because of space limitations.

I would imagine other parts such as the LCD might be smaller as well.

According to the spec sheet the fixed lens Scarlet records at REDCODE 42 just like it's interchangeable brother so you won't be sacrificing any visual quality.

RedSight? A new name for BombEVF...I kinda doubt its that simple, so: hmmmm.
:)
Peace,

-Harry

XLR or miniplug?

XLR or miniplug?

The same modules can be added to all bodies... extra cost. Fixed has audio... but not the same level as the module shown (no room).

Jim

Jim, please make the Scarlet Fixed with XLR (or mini XLR) inputs for audio on the body (not as a separate module). If you can´t do that give us miniplug stereo input and separate gain controls of audio on left and right channels (like Sony FX1). XLR should be cool!!!!
Have you decided that?

3.5mm mini-plugs are on the brain.. and yes to being separate... very separate.
