I will continue to be a red customer. I will do the $6k for 6k dragon upgrade.

But i dont know of any tech product that drops in price by 45% in one year. Very happy for all the new customers who can buy Epic's now. HUrrah for them.. Calling my insurance agent to lower my replacement cost values...

The price was RAISED $5K before it was lowered. SO your model is not entirely accurate... not that it helps but if you are going to that much detail... then I think correcting your spreadsheet is in order

and of course this ONLY applies to people in Stage 4 or after. Stage 2 and Stage 3 got silly discounts and still paid less.

Yes... Stage4, the people that made the price cut for everyone else possible due to our eagerness to get a camera. LOL

Agree with you on this, I want to move on - but then I see something like this and I shed a tear again

agree 1000% but I am not the OP... - but feel compelled to discredit what Sony or Canon reps will most likely now use as a sales tool thanks to the OP obsessing about... can you just see them at the resellers pulling that out and saying... . "Buy a Sony and it wont go down like a RED"... sigh

Thats not true, go to Otto Nimitz and ask him what Sonys he has for sale and see what the prices are, you'll be stunned. Just go and make money with your camera and be glad your next purchase won't cost as much. I once in the early 80's had 50,000 shares of Apple stock. Had life gone better I'd still have that stock and be worth 35 or so million, and you're bitching about several thousand???????? please!
