  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Movcam Epic gear

Just having a thought that no-one dealers are thinking serious about this. I am thinking order myself with my china connection and sell it by my self with some profit....!!!!
 
anyone knows where can I purchase the bottom plate and shoulder pad with the rosettes?
 
Jason and Ben, can you confirm the rosette is Arri standard? They don't sell offset handgrip extenders yet, so I'm thinking Vocas, but I'm concerned about threated holes not matching

Actually, it's cheaper than WC solution by $140. In order to get something like the Movcam, which provides both the Arri-dovetail clamp capability + 15mm bracket, you'd have to get the following items from WC:

-Easy Riser ($160)
-15mm bracket ($140)
-low-profile dovetail clamp ($250)

I have that and absolutely love it for my current setup. However, I also want to keep everything as compact as possible and retain my 15mm bracket, while also being able to slide onto a dovetail. With the WC route, you're adding height + grams of weight. Movcam looks like the perfect solution for me.
 
+1. I can find the bottom plate for the epic but not the sliding shoulder pad with rosettes.

Hi,

I bought One Movcam Wooden Handle with the Epic Start-Stop Cable through Band Pro Germany a few Weeks ago.
I use it with my wc Shoulder Rig and it works great.
I have yet to use it in a heavy and hectic shoot because right now is a slow Time shooting wise,
but so far I Love it.

Hello , does someone tell me if you can use the top and bottom plate with V2 red fan ? It seems that the rods support are very close from the front of the camera . Second question , can you use red tactical ribs with movcam plates ? What is the size of the side's holes ?
Where can we buy the shoulder pad , i can't find it !

I emailed them about the fan months ago and at that time they were unaware of the new fan. I don't know if they have updated it or not, but they were pretty quick with their emails. As for the shoulder pad, you can buy it through BHPhoto.
