Sure wish Movcam was able to use standard Arri dovetails.

They've stated several times that it's compatible with Arri standard dovetails.

Commented on their instagram and told me to email them. I did that earlier today and haven't heard. Asked about specific items, costs, and estimated shipping dates. When I hear from them I'll post as much info as they give.

I also left a comment on their Facebook photo asking about specifics. I was surprised to see it passed all those functionality tests! To be honest, I was half-expecting a modified version with less features to come out because pulling HDMI, two SDI, LEMO (RED LCD), Fischer, and a pass-through POGO connection, all from the single top POGO connector seemed like it shouldn't be possible!

Now to wait for the price...

i got the movcam dsmc2 brideplate today model "303-2608". it DOES NOT work with the WoodenCamera Safety Dovetail 8" plate. the wooden plate is not "scalloped" out enough. needs another couple millimeters. i love the minimalist design of the movcam baseplate though. i will try with other arri style plates.

i right now just ordered the movcam 303-1129 dovetail plate which will definitely work.

another possibility is you could buy and mount the wooden camera "dovetail clamp" to the bottom of the movcam base plate.

Well it works with my Allstar, my Camtree and my Smallrig. 3 different brands besides Woodencamera. Just sell your WC dovetail and use the 15mm bridge plate riser with another dovetail. It worths it.

16x9inc sold me a baseplate which MOVCAM confirmed was a "DEMO" model and not the final design. Doesn't fit the DSMC2 body the way others do. Its larger than the base of the DSMC2 body. It Doesn't even have MOVCAM logo on it, completely different look than the ones advertised. 16x9 isnt being very much help as they say its MOVCAMs fault. Its been 2 months since I purchased and I keep getting told just wait a little longer every few weeks. The thing is, 16x9inc contacted me on social media directly to sell me this cage after seeing a tweet I made to @MOVCAM. Even the original MOVCAM aluminum 4" rods I ordered didn't fit and they had to RMA me back a set of carbon fiber MOVCAM rods. It seems like 16x9 got an entire batch of normal aluminum ones all or most machined the wrong size. Did I get scammed here? Did they get scammed here? Where is the rest of the cage? Top plate? hot swap v mount? dovetail?

I really like the baseplate could go on a dovetail plate, what I don't like is that you can't attach rods at the back, something you could do on the WC plate. is anyone have the plate? did you find a workaround? I would think you could attach rods on the top instead, but most batteries stick out so you can't really do that. If Movcam add some holes at the back of it, it will be prefect!
