Snuck this one in a few days before xmas last year... Single day shoot at the same location I shot Blank Space for Taylor.

Chris,

Beautiful work as always. Amazing it was one day. I thought it might be Doheney Mansion but where was that?

And at some point I would love to know your thoughts about Monstro since I have only shot one test on Jarred's camera and been to some tests of the PV DXL2 camera at Panavision.

And yes what lenses please..... Merci mon ami

Canon K35s.

As far as Monstro goes, I’m smitten, best sensor ever!

Chris, curious how is the 18mm covering in 8k?
As I remember the wide k35s did not have full coverage allready on 6k dragon, or am i mistaken?

Just bought a 14mm rehoused PL mounted FD that I was planing to extend a K35 set with. My camera been out so have not had time to test it yet. But from my little internet serches the 14mm should cover vv and also match the k35’s quite well in terms of color and look.

Bjorn,

I'm helping TLS make some design tweaks to stretch the coverage of the wides as much as possible. The 14mm FD TLS rehouse is getting little notches in the front ring to help extend its coverage a bit more to clear 7.5 FF. The 24mm is getting a new front end design to help it cover beyond 7K. The 18mm is more problematic as its design began as a 24mm then had a custom wide angle converter added to it. I'll have to see where we end up, but it probably will be more in the neighborhood of 6.5K-7K realm... Though at that sensor size, 6.5K is an equivalent angle of view of a 13.5 in Super35... So that lens won't play much at that resolution at all. Lower resolutions, great, we still have a wide covering those.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it was better, But in the back of my head I rememeber dark corners on s35 on the wides so what you say makes sense.

Guess I need to hand that 14mm in to open up the front a bit. From what I seen its a great lens and not really often a rectlinear 14mm at VV is needed. But cool if it works.
