Apparently its VGA resolution, has auto-focus and tap to focus, auto-WB, auto-exposure and macro lens to 4". Can send to email, MMS, or Youtube.

Camera is now 3Mpix.

30fps are everywhere. I don't want to do a foresight here but I am really wondering if it won't become a standard in any time soon...

i hope not ;-) :crying:

Now if only my RED could make phone calls and surf the web...

;-)

A lot of people I know actually prefer shooting 30p to 24p, although I definitely understand the love of 24p. There is not really all that much difference, IMHO.

BTW, I might actually have to get an iPhone if these price drops are for real. I guess since I am new customer to AT&T, I can get a 16GB 3Gs for like $299?

No, but seriously

No, but seriously

…that's what the USB port is for.

Maybe Im the only one who would want this... but wouldnt it be freaking cool if you could use your iphone to store GPS and now directional data using the built in compass and just drop that in the metadata as tags, or tags over time?

Useful? Maybe not. Cool? I think yes.

Useful for stockfootage ... maybe

I think that possibly the most exciting announcement is in Snow Leopard:
The default gamma has been changed from 1.8 to 2.2 to better serve the color needs of digital content producers and consumers.

Also, Quicktime X looks pretty cool, and I expect that a new FCS with a 64bit Final Cut Pro based on the new framework will be announced soon before or after Snow Lepoard ships.

Does anyone know if you can actually edit two or more trimmed clips together or just trim edges off a single clip?

if they had only done 24fps instead of 30fps it would have been 20% less information to process so maybe they could have gotten a 20% bigger image which would have gotten it to DV size - and probably saved people from figuring out a way to use the iphone video for something clever and then figuring out how to waste 6 hours converting 1 minute of 30fps video to 24fps like with the canon - ha!
