Hey Guys,

Credit Card charging is a two part process, what you are seeing (within minutes of submitting your order) is a pre-authorization that will disappear shortly. It's standard operating procedure for online orders, and is very similar to what happens when you get a hotel room.

The pre-authorization you're seeing is NOT a capture, and if you were to receive your credit card statement Monday it would NOT be on there. Again it is not a capture, and if you would like, your banking company can see the difference between a pre-authorization and a capture in their system, so calling them can assure you of this. It will disappear shortly from your account.

Also, the deposits will be taken by our orders team when the group buy expires.

Cheers,

Loren Simons

DO NOT be alarmed. YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED more than the $250 deposit. I promise.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please direct them to Andrew Lee - his email is on the link I provided you.

Thank you and TGIF

Hey Guys,

Since people is placing their orders now, I want to let people know that if you are planning on paying via Paypal, it does NOT have a pre-authorization system like all credit cards do, and it will automatically charge your account in full. There is nothing we can do about that on our end, as that is how Paypal handles all transactions. So personally I would highly suggest using a credit card and not paypal, unless you are okay with being charged in full (with discount of course) immediately.

We're always here to help guys, and this group buy is working out well for everyone. I'm super excited to start seeing all these microRemote's on your REDs:thumbsup:

Cheers,
Loren Simons

Good info thanks Loren!

Time Out granted. Wasn't complaining, just pointing out some e-commerce issues that Redrock needed to be aware of. I was actually surprised how well the process worked, right up until the time they took my credit card info. (Although authorizing large amounts on someone's card months before shipping is not great.)

I'm more interested in their answers to the stuff I couldn't find.

Got it, thanks. You can keep my money if I can get it by Monday :) .

just checking up before I finish the order. Do we pay package price for the universal finger wheel as well or will that be $280 on-top of whatever package price fore the wireless package? I ask because It seems like purchasing the regular fingerwheel in the bundle is $147 vs $202 when ordered separately. So I am assuming there is a package deal here when you buy it in one go. Please advise.

Edit: even when selected regular finger wheel option from the wireless package ($147.50) in the checkout page it still shows up as $202.50. Im even more confused now...

This is a question for Loren...

Hey All,

So here's the fingerwheel break down.

With the new release of the universal version, we had to modify the design of the fingerwheel to make it compatible with the new Collins Clamp. That $147.50 was pre-NAB pricing (because that's when we made the change over to the new design) and it was simply not updated in the actual text of the configuration option, but is on the product page itself. Sorry about that, and we'll get that changed Monday.

So the two options for the fingerwheels are:

microRemote Fingerwheel Controller Add-On - This is designed to be used in conjunction with our microHandGrips and slide on natively.
microRemote Universal Fingerwheel with Collins Clamp - This is designed to attach the fingerwheel to anything, be it your steadicam, tripod pan handle, or even our grips. This guy comes with the Collins Clamp, and that is why it is more expensive.

So if you want to get the universal fingerwheel with your wireless bundle, you would not select any fingerwheel option while getting the wireless bundle, and then simply add the bundle I linked to above.

Also, regarding the Run/Stop Cable. It is not currently up in the webstore, so I am checking with the guys to see when/how that will become an option for you all to add to your order, and will let you know as soon as I know.

Hope that clarifies any confusion! But of course let us know if you have any further questions.

Cheers,
Loren Simons
