  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NEW GROUP BUY: MICROREMOTE WIRELESS FOLLOW FOCUS

Carey - Any chance the iOS controller or the Handwheel Controller will be available in time?

I admit I dropped out, but Carrey, REDROCK should have had that code the day we hit 50 and this wouldn't happen.. You are doing them a huge solid bringing in over $100k in DAYS! and you shouldn't be stressed out over this.. They better be giving you something!

thanks again and sorry for making any stress for you

By passing the day we were supposed to have the code already (5/1, as stated earlier in the thread) , I admit, I almost dropped out as well.

Almost dropped out as well. From what I've gathered on this forum, seems like they struggle with delivering on time, which concerns me.

If you stayed in this group buy, I assure you, your microRemote will ship in less time than originally stated. There was simply a miscommunication about the coupon code.

The stressful thing was the group buy that opened in the other thread and the subsequent avalanche of questions amd confusion that followed.

Everything about this particular group buy is better than when we started.

Thank you for your loyalty and continued support.

Don't buy into this system for the IOS controller, buy into it for what's available now. Think about how complicated it is dealing with apple, and with the ports changing, new IOS's etc...

It would have been better for me to jump on the other group buy (being in the UK)... so no import duty and charges. That'll probably eat into the discount I've saved.

Whilst the other system would be smaller (and do I/Z with extra motors), I decided to stay onboard, as the fingerwheel is important for my planned use.

Carey's doing a great job :)

My only concern is customs charges and all that jazz... guess maybe RR can chime in on that.

Smaller how? Just curious. I've worked with the RR and its pretty darn small, both receiver and motor. But maybe you're referring to the controller...

Carey,

I echo the others - you totally rock for arranging this and working so hard. Thanks for getting me on board even as a latecomer.

Hi Jake - I did mean the receiver, the RT is smaller and is FIZ capable (with the extra motors obviously) whereas the RR is focus only and the receiver (basestation) looks to be larger... but that could be the way I'm looking at it (?).

As I said, finger-wheel is important for my uses, so it's RR - I just hope duty/customs etc doesn't bump up the cost too much. My other concern was legal UK frequencies, but Loren from RR said all is OK on that front.

yes..the Redrock receiver does have more bulk in size to it. Not sure of the exact weight difference if any though.
Great thing about this deal is you can add the microTape and have a whole unifed system dedicated to just focus control.

The RT is FIZ capable but how often is that used ? Seems like 90% of time just using focus control.
If anyone regularly uses iris and zoom please explain when.
