I've looked forward to D-Day (delivery day) for nearly two years now. To see that day only a week away is the most amazing rush!

My deepest kudos to RED Team, summarized by this colloquil mantra that RED obviously epitomizes:

"If you can imagine it...you can achieve it"

Let 'er rip...! :gun:

Fantastic news!

Congratulations Red team; the dream becomes reality!

It's the D-day indeed! The champagne is running through our own throats!

Congratulations RED team. Fantastic achievment.

May you all soon-to-be true REDusers enjoy your long awaited tool.

I'm hoping the production can be accelerated now that you got things worked out, but I'm just excited your this close.

Will you release Redcine online so we can mess with posted footage? Will you provide any footage or shall we wait for Gibby and Offhollywood? I'm mainly interested about Redcine and testing out a new computer I'm building.

Great new....just curius, what red accesories/lens ect won't be shipping at the same time as the cameras?

The 18-50mm CF zoom and 300mm lenses are ready. The cast rail system tooling is not done yet, so we built several machined sets (need to charge more) for those that need them now. We have CF cards, batteries and charger, cables and all you need to turn the camera on and record.

REDCINE will be ready in Beta form, plus there will be RED Alert!, RED Quick and some footage posted so everyone can try some samples. We'll explain RED Alert! and RED Quick soon enough, so don't ask. :)

excellent.
The timing, btw, just before IBC is great - that will create excellent turmoil in Amsterdam this year.

RED Alert! must be the software for make-up artists which detects if talent/actor need new makeup for 4k, but not for 35mm@2k or 1080p, i guess.

Hey, there weren't any "subject to change" notices on those delivery dates. Kinda spooky. ;)

We must be entering a new era where at least some things are locked down.

Frederic was a machine ...

Let's all pass out from exhaustion in memory!

It seems like only yesterday Frederic Lumiere was giving a presentation in front of a little tent at the open of NAB 2006 ...

CRAZY!!!

Huge congrats in advance to the entire team!! Mad MAD props!!

Is there any way to post how geeked up I am to have reservation #19 without coming off like a total asshole.

That's awesome Blair!

My guess is that Red alert tells you if your recording media (cf) is fast enough to use with the Red One. My second guess is that it checks your files and tells you right after you shot them if they are OK, like file verification and integrity with one check.
