This is from an M Sensor. Shot by Greg Williams (with help from Jarred) and graded in REDCINE-X with the new REDcolor2 and REDgamma2. Nice skin tones.

Amazing skin tones.

Did Greg use diffusion filters (cs or 1/8 mist?) or is it clean out of the camera?

:)

Now, I find that better than film.
Great stuff, Jim.

I know.

Just about finnished a 4 x45 show on M with RC2/RLF.

The DP who have shot several features + a bunch of commercials on M, asked me what I had done, already with RLF/RC...

Then came RC2.

Happiness all around (and there is some skin in there to take care of...)

Absolutely love it.
The new Colorsciences that have come on the heels of B30 and the curve philosphy is really putting new life into M footy.

When I am done with this, I'll go back to some old reference footy I have used to check all the colorsciences with. Looking foreward to that.

Cheers

hey Jim, i know you guys are really busy but will we get a new camera build with this new colour science?

Also is there an upgrade option for epic light stage 3?

Keep up the good work Red, we and our projects appreciate it.

2:30AM here now. This thread was the icing on the cake. Totally made my night, er, morning. I concur on Graeme's genius and I'm loving RC2/RG2 here. I only wish my test subjects were as beautiful.

Amen... Graeme is a genius.

Jim

Definitely he is a genius.

Now EPIC can equally compete with Genesis, Alexa, S35, 5DMK2 and any of Olympus digital cameras with skin tones...also can easy to match with any film stock...

Graeme Rocks, wonderful colours.

Just to be perfectly clear, this was shot on an Mysterium sensor (not M-X) and the RAW was then re-handled with the new color science, correct?

Just want to be 101% clear since you are considering "Epic-M" a likely name for the early limited batch of machined Epics.

Skin tones look great, just don't tell the wife I said that. ;)

PS: Graeme is not a genius... he is an alien.

Not only EPIC... RedOne-X, RedOne, and very old footage... That's the best of all.

Graeme Nattress....YOU DESERVE AN OSCAR, as does the rest of the RED team
