NEO Super Baltars

Nick,

I just realized that the article you linked to above talks about the Godfather part 1 and 2, according to Shotonwhat the Godfather 2 used Kowa Cine Prominar Lenses which do have a 40mm lens. Maybe Caleb Deschanel was referring to that 40mm lens?

Edit:

Plus I think the Baltars used a BNC Mount( Shorter back focus) and the Super Baltars used a BNCR mount(Longer back focus) made by Mitchill for use on Mitchill BNCR Cameras. The the first 2 Godfather movies used a Mitchill BNCR Camera.

Chanel ‘Timeless’

By Feli di Giorgio

NOTE: THE DIGITAL INTERMEDIATE IS BEING REVISED TO ELIMINATE A TECHNICAL PROBLEM THAT CAUSES A COLOR SHIFT. AN UPDATED VERSION WILL BE UPLOADED SHORTLY

Long format spec commercial for Chanel.

Like us if you like what you see!

'Timeless' is part of an international spec ad campaign for Chanel conceived by Feli di Giorgio.

It consists of three long format shorts for internet and theatrical release from which multiple 30 or 60 second spots would be cut for broadcast and cable distribution. In addition a print campaign based on the characters featured in the shorts would be created for magazines, billboards etc.

Each of the long format spots would tell a distinct story following a common theme. They would feature either a specific Chanel creation or serve the purpose of evoking the heritage and spirit of the company.

The pilot short presented here is titled 'Timeless'. It tells the story of a woman and her prized Chanel day suit as it accompanies her throughout a 20 year span of her life.

The two other and as of now unfilmed episodes in the trilogy are titled 'Black Swan' and 'The Gift'.

That might explain why it looked so horrible. I think there are other problems aside from colour shift, though. I quite watching after the wedding scene. I found it hard to believe that it was an actual Chanel ad and not a project for a showreel. I'll still review it later on, though.

'Red Dragon' showed how good the R1 is!

Karim,

I think the gentleman who worked on this project 4 years ago probably meant to post a revised version but just forgot or didn't think it was important enough to do. I also found it hard to believe it was some "officially" contracted work for channel. Maybe it was part of some type of low budget "off" project featurette or something.

That Red one video I believe was shot about 5 years ago, and yeah, it still looks good.
