I am trying to figure out the easiest/ quickest way to batch remove a single audio track (track one) from a couple hundred multi track audio wav files.

I'm intending to use Pluarleyes to sync the audio up with the non timecode footage, but right now that is impossible as the LTC Timecode noise on Track one is loud and screws it all up.

Basically, the audio guy forgot to stop generating the LTC Timecode to track 1 while we were using a camera with no timecode. We intended to use the cameras scratch track for syncing.

Anyways, I'm willing to spend money on the proper software to achieve this task and your advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Bob - thanks for the suggestion!!

Doug - my buddy just recommended this EXACT method! I'll give this a try first since it's free :))

thanks so much gents I will let you know how it goes!

Wouldn't just deactivating Channel 1 in your editing program accomplish this? I assume you've synced up all the multitracks to the video in an editing program of some kind.

It's very atypical to put timecode on channel 1. I think a much better choice is just to use a camera that actually has timecode, or resign yourself to a non-timecode workflow where everything has to be done manually (which is pretty standard for DSLR projects).

If your camera reference audio is all bad, then that's a problem. If there's one good channel and one bad, it might be possible to just select all these in a timeline and delete them, then use Plural Eyes to sync up the multitracks.

What is the NLE being used? If Media Composer you can merge an ALE with to batch process a set of subclips minus the A1 track, or if syncing in MC, can eliminate the A1 track as part of the process.

Final Cut Pro 7 a BMCC footage with scratch track and pluarl eyes 3 for syncing everything is the reason we need to remove track 1 from the audio files. I'll let you all know how it goes with the above suggestion :)

So I have to ask why the LTC was recorded if it's not to be used for syncing? Just curious.
