  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB13- Scarlet Upgrade Program

Some of us are fortunate enough to live near both Irvine and Hollywood locations. I can drop mine off today! :lol:
 
Quick question Brent, for those of us who are struggling with the decision - if we place an order for the Epic-X M-X instead of the Scarlet upgrade (or vice versa) and decide that we want to change to the other option before if comes time to ship it to you, would we go to the back of the line or would our order time give us some comfort?

Reading the FAQs I understand that you can get only one Armor through the life of a brain... I assume the trade-in gets you another brain, and so it is not cover by the previous Armor, which I assume cannot be upgraded either.
Am I correct?

EDIT: I guess I was wrong... reading more carefully I found this:

IF I HAVE AN EXISTING ORIGINAL OR RED ARMOR WARRANTY FOR A SCARLET AND I AM TRADING IN FOR EPIC-X M-X OR DRAGON, WILL THE BALANCE OF MY WARRANTY CARRY OVER TO MY TRADED IN BRAIN?

Parts and labor of the new EPIC-X M-X or EPIC-X DRAGON brain you receive will be warranted for a period of one year. Remaining balance of your SCARLET BRAIN original warranty will not carry over. If you purchased SCARLET RED ARMOR extended warranty coverage, any remaining balance will be transferred to your EPIC M-X or EPIC DRAGON BRAIN at no additional charge.

My rep says that if you sign up for one then change your mind, then your serial number is executed and you can't trade in your Scarlet anymore after that.
 
Just read the FAQ on RED.com and the following catched my eye:

"IF I CANCEL MY SCARLET TRADE IN ORDER, CAN I REORDER AT A LATER DATE?

No, once you complete your SCARLET trade in order, your SCARLET will be marked as “EXECUTED” and will remain executed even if you cancel your SCARLET trade in order. Executed serial numbers cannot be used on any future trade ins or credits."

Now does this mean that when its your turn in line, would it be scarlet - to epic or scarlet-d and you do not have the money and have to cancel... you cannot upgrade say a couple of months later after acquiring funds? Or am I reading this wrong? Since there is a few trigger happy ppl around here today :)
