  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB13- Scarlet Upgrade Program

We are going to just put the SDU up in the store in advance of all the pretty pictures and spec so some of you guys can order and not miss your plane.. all the details will follow over the next our or so.

ha ha ... but my question has implications that would matter a LOT for future firmware updates.
--- Will Scarlet D always have same functions available as Epic D ( not talking frame rates/ 6K ) in the future ? ---
( New focus methods, faster , etc ? )

Old Scarlets will lag behind at some point, as the processor that implements firmware is better in Epic D.
My Q: Same processor in Scarlet D, or the old one still ?????
 
Is the pixels size different from the MX? Then how is dragon 4k in comparison with MX 4k? Same? Sharper? A bit less sharp?
What about the cropping? 1.6 for 4K and 1.3 for 5K?

I'm so keen to upgrade all the way up to Epic Dragon. Take all of my money.

Jarred, any news on the full price of a new Scarlet-Dragon (non-upgrade)

Epic it is then... For the automotive work I do, I need the framerates. Maybe upgrade to Epic-D down the road... Gracias! Now where do I buy?
 
Same for me, no serial number ... hum :) they must be fixing it. unless anybody managed to order?
