I'm refreshing Store/New Releases and Store/Cameras pages. I assume it'll be similar to the EPIC DRAGON upgrade.

The EPIC M and early adoptors upgrade to DRAGON started at approx 10.50am three days ago...
This is just for an idea.You never know RED ..it can start any moment guys....so stay tuned

I'm less worried about the suspense of when it'll start than getting answers to really improtant questions like... what FPS will ScarletD offer in 6k, will Epic-X upgrades ship immediately or in July... etc.

The answer I read earlier in the thread was apparently from a quick chat with Jared. The short answer was "No".

Epic Dragon has a faster firmware processor ( different than the ASIC's ) that will allow more advanced functions later as the firmware evolves.
At some point there will be a divergence of firmwares functionality, either just slower or possibly different features.
What I forgot to ask at NAB was : Does the Scarlet D have the new micro-controller just like Epic D ? Or did Red just 'shoe horn' in the sensor ? or ??
