Did anyone notice the lack of any update on REDRAY and the projectors?!?
Anything at the booth?

Seeing how the F65 only has enough pixels to be about 5.8k before debayer, it's not that hard to figure out.I'm still trying to figure out how Sony got 8k worth of them on the f65 and still supposedly is hitting 14 stops. Must be some innovation in signal processing on the digital end of things
can anyone tell me what the cost is for this upgrade in the uk placed order for dragon upgrade but my red account is saying £9500 pounds total is this correct as i thought it was $9500 us

Indeed - it should be like this:
Compression choices of 18:1 to 3:1
12 and 16-bit RAW : Compression choices of 18:1 to 3:1
1-100 fps 6K
1-120 fps 5K, 4.5K
1-150 fps 4K
1-200 fps 3K
1-300 fps 2K

They had a projector projecting 4k... and if it was the RED laser projector... it needs more time to bake.
With respect to colour matching, yes, the Dragon matches with previous RED cameras, but with the warning that where the Dragon portrays colour more accurately, there will be differences. The difference with the Dragon chip is that obviously it's a different chip and we've made numerous changes to improve colorimetry (based on what we've been learning these last few years), and the software color science side necessarily reflects those physical changes. It's not a completely different look on the Dragon, but it's obviously not identical either, or else where would the improvements be?
