Hi Steve,

On the schedule it says RedCine X Demo twice. Is this a re-peat? 12:30 and 5:30

Because of all the women that will be at the event......

Ah NAB, the only mass attendance event I've ever gone to that has no lines at the women's restroom

Ummm....what about last year when there were hundreds of women at the Rio, not too far from the Reduser event. Something about a lingerie show. You never know what will happen at a Reduser event.

There wil be some repeatability to the event. However, this is why I recommend trying to make a day of it if you can. If you skip the 12:30 and come at 5:30 and it's packed.....there are limits to how many people we can squeeze in these rooms.

Very glad to see Adobe in the lineup!!

In regards to people who have asked if they are on the list. I have looked into options for emailing everyone, but understand that there are a lot of people on this list and I don't currently have an email solution that can handle it. I'm limited to X amount of emails a day and I can only send X amount at one time. It would take several days as I have other business matters that require me to keep some overhead for my outgoing email.

I'm pretty confident at this point that if you registered on the website and got the message that popped up afterwards that confirmed and said See You In Vegas, you're on the list. There are enough names on there to make me feel that the process worked fine. If you have any doubt, just show up and it will work itself out. Next year, we'll go back to automatic email responses (although those probably aren't perfect either, depending on your Spam filters).

This is a bit OT, but I see Adobe and Avid, and no Apple/FCP. Should I take that as a hint, I should seriously start thinking about Adobe instead of planning my upgrade to an Intel Mac and the latest FCP Studio?

Will be in Vegas Monday afternoon, Looking forward to Wednesday, can't wait, thanks for all the hard work making this event happen, will get to meet RED in person... Excited about Adobe platform for Scarlet!

We, at the ScarletUser Podcast, have already made arrangements with Ted to do a special message with some of the new toys for those who are unable to attend...

Sweet! post a link or pm me.

From what I remember hearing, Apple just doesn't do conventions anymore. Something about it not being cost effective. I could be wrong about that.

Trade shows maybe. Looks like FCPUG has some Apple representation for the Supermeet. So, maybe that policy has some flexibility in it.

Will all the RED presentations be the same? Or are there 3 separate presentations? Is so, could you do Scarlet first? Dang flight back home:mad2:

To my (admittedly limited) knowledge, there will be no Scarlet presentation.
Maybe empty models on the show floor, but no presentations or prototypes...
one can still dream:wink:

I would change your flight. Plus, you're going to miss the after party.

If you're at the conference and don't have a car, it looks like you have to take public transportation to get to the Tropicana since it's not one the hotels that the NAB shuttles take you to. Am I correct with this assumption?

MGM is the last stop on the monorail. Tropicana is across the street from MGM.
