NAB... Tropicana

[Roberto Lequeux]

Jim hinted yesterday on cinematography.net that the "Blackie" is already operating at 100fps @5k:

Thank you. I missed that, I don't read c.net enough. NICE.

as much as i want to start screaming about scarlet this is some damn good news. it seems that any time there is a lull in the recon news big things are happening. exciting times.

Jim hinted yesterday on cinematography.com that the "Blackie" is already operating at 100fps @5k:

I hope that's the case. I still want to know what kind of SSD we'll be shooting 100fps 5K to, and how much it'll cost. Less than Red RAM, I hope...

[jamesbridges]

Has a time been announced?

[Jon B.]

11am-11pm

[Alex MacLean]

woohoo!

Less than Red RAM, I doubt...of course I'd like to be proven wrong.

I don't see why not...for the mags alone anyway. We know the price of module. If they offer a few different sizes it could be. lets hope so

Steve, Jannard et al: Since a lot of us Red owners also want to attend to network, can you create name tags that show the home town? I'm not from LA and would love to meet people from No Cal. Name tags would certainly help.

You could just wear your NAB pass. Many did last year. Not sure if they offered name tags at the Red event last year.

Good idear. Making 3,000 name tags would be a lot of work...handing them out would be a completely new story.

Thanks for sharing. Should we still go to NAB?

Not on Wednesday.

Yes, there will be name badges. Another good reason to register.

ONE MORE REMINDER TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT.

Recent announcements about Epic could mean a lot of people showing up at one time, so we are trying to ensure a smooth event.

Thanks guys!
