  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Look, I'm cool with any day but we have to chose, I think there is a conflict. with another event on Wed, if its who I think it is allot of guys are going. It was mentioned earlier in the thread. I just can't remember who it was now.

They were cool when, I was getting the LA user group thing going, so I don't want to step on that event.
 
Wednesday is the FCP plugin in meeting I believe. I think alot of people will be attending that vs a RED party. Also, a RED BBQ sounds awesome, workflow meeting even cooler.
 
Anybody Know what time the plug in meeting is??
If Wednesday is bad can we do it Thursday?

BBQ...Beer....work-flow... good.....maybe not in that order!:tongue:

I think Monday would be best... because most people plan to attend NAB on the first day, Monday. Think about, if you could only come for a day or two Monday is the most exciting day for RED Heads with RED showing new products, and possibly taking reservations.

Tuesday second best...

Wednesday is bad because of the FCPUG..... Which will be the only Apple appearance that I know of so far.

Thursday is bad because a lot of people don't stay that long.
 
last year we did it on the 2nd night ( tuesday ) and we had a good ole time and a good turn out ...

just to give you a idea - i think last year's bill was ?? approx $800 for drinks, food, tip ...
 
Why are people discussing what day? Wasn't Tuesday already decided? Thursday is bad because by that night everyone is gone, Wednesday is the FCPUG. Besides, Jarred already said he wants Tuesday. He said he'd pay for booze if someone would get the Penthouse. We've already had several people volunteer for that and I know they are coordinating behind the scenes with Jarred to make that happen.

Maybe someone else will stand up for food. If not, someone like Jarred can open up a PayPal pot for food, I'm sure a ton of us would chip in. But please, let's avoid cover charges or the like. I'd rather pitch in a Paypal then to try and drum up cash on the spot.

I booked my plane ticket and hotel yesterday, definitely up for a party. Please include me if there are any PMs with location details. Happy to chip in some cash for room/booze/whatever - just found 50 euros wedged in the back of my wallet, that could only be from IBC 2004, some great parties that year.

Tuesday for the big brew ha. and every night after that.

It has taken forever to get the La User group meeting. Allot of people stood up, but most did not. We don't have that kind of time.

So the day is locked for Redpaloozza.

Party tent with a red barbeque, or a lounge, because a Suite looks like a dead end.

Suite is definitely not a dead end. We have it under control. I'm working with Jarred on the details. This event will be cool, no doubt, I promise.

Having it Saturday night would be a good way to kick off the week of NAB.
