  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB party plan

Lets do Tuesday.. wherever it may be. If PLanet hollywood is all messed up, and someone wants to get a big ass suite, ill pony up for the drinks :)

Tuesday sounds good, I didn't want Wed since I want to attend the FCPUG supermeet.

Come'on, someone get a suite!

Btw Jarred, I forgot when I saw Deb to thank her for her hard work on last year's DVXUser suite setup, that was fucking awesome

Can't do Wed, that's the FCPUG supermeet. Besides, why show up not until the last main day?

You shouldn't put stuff like that in writing, especially when I guy like me is around... As the cruise director I will look into Planet Hollywood, if it can not be done, I will find a suitable place. Anybody have a rich lonely Aunt, will put Randy to work.

Last year someone rented a swank suite on the upper floors of the Venetian and Jarred hosted the DVXUser party there, it was very nice. Bathtub full of beer, etc. It'd be cool to have another suite party, especially a Reduser one.

No kidding. Looks like the solution is obvious. Dump the DVXUSER party. Nobody uses those cameras anymore anyway. :w00t: :clown2:

Not to mention there are fewer people on REDUSER. So the party would be less expensive. :innocent:

(Before anybody gets bent out of shape, I am kidding. If it weren't for DVXUSER, we probably wouldn't have Jarred working at RED. And I think that has worked out well for all of us.)
 
I use my XL2 all the time. Its not a RED or even HD, but I love my camera and the shorts I have made with it.

Well that was really off topic, but are we on for Tuesday the 15th? Or what? If we can't get Planet Hollywood, what's the back up plan Cruise Director?
 
Jarred, how much was the suite? Maybe some of us can chip in and host this thing. I was thinking of doing a post production workflow meeting and maybe there's a way to do that and then party like rock stars. All depends on how expensive the suite would be. I'm okay with Planet hollywood too as long as there is room and we can chat it up without being drowned out by neighboring parties, or incredibly long tables.

Tuesday works for me.
 
yes, we have to be able to hear talking - so not a too loud of place ...

i did a quick check at venetian web site 1400sq ft suite $800 on 15th ...
don't know what the policy is for having a group of people drop in ?
