I was surprised to see some rumors circulating that we for some reason were going kill Scarlet. As you can see, nothing is further from the truth.

Scarlet is an incredible camera. Scarlet Dragon.. is even better.

Jarrod Felix, one of our early customers recently shot a badass video with Cooper Dunn and Chase Ferrell for Five Finger Death Punch with 2 scarlets and an Epic.

Directed by Brian Neal and Zoltan Bathory it really leverages the capabilities of RED and the entire REDCODE RAW workflow.

Damn, I'm unsure again, if I should go the EPIC or S-DRAGON route.... aaaargh! Damn choices!

I like the color, but I'm not crazy about the music or the choice to squish the footage and export at a 3:1 aspect ratio. Makes everybody look a little Goomba'ish. Loads better at 2.35:1

I'm also thinking that this is still MX and not Dragon. We're still waiting to see an image from Scarlet Dragon. Maybe we'll see this week?

Hoping that the RED SCARLET gets a price cut of some sort so I can afford one with the extra gear required. Fingers crossed! C'mon mister Jarred Land, do us a favor :)

Is this short shot on Scarlet Dragon or Scarlet MX? If it's MX, you should make that clear because people are already starting to get it twisted over at NFS.

Of course they are, that's all they do over there. Jarred says in simple terms: "2 scarlets and an Epic". I think it's pretty obvious, especially in a thread meant to show that the Red Scarlet is still one heck of a camera.

If I was in that position I definitely go for the EPIC. But for me It's too expensive. EPIC will always be better camera. I am now looking for my first RED camera and It's going to be "old" Scarlet with Mysterium sensor. EPIC vs S-DRAGON = EPIC all the time. Even with older sensor. But that's me. :-)

It is good, and it is MX or (maybe) Dragon with old OLPF, because at 3.36 there's the infamous UFO FLARE ;)
Nice anyway, i didn't like the stretch, but artistic choice: respect to that.
