Here is a sneak peek of the new camera configuration to make putting together a RED camera package a little bit easier.

Have a go at it and let us know what you think.

Nice! It would be helpful to add battery charging options as well as battery mounts to camera.

Looks awesome! It's as easy as custom building a custom car configuration or ordering a pizza.

My only suggestions are to add a quantity box next to each item (especially for things like REDmags and batteries), and a little "(i)" info button next to each item that brings up a window of that item with details and pictures just like in the RED.com store. Otherwise, it looks great!

Badass! Where was this 4+ years ago? :)

Couple suggestions you can take or toss: I agree with Burke on additional quantities (but it's easy to add quantities later in the cart too). If possible, windows to see pics of what each item is would be nice, to distinguish the subtle difference between Quickplate Module and Backpack Quickplate (Short) for example. One thing to consider is noting items required for a working package, such as needing either an SSD Module or Mini-SSD Module and at least one REDMAGs, and needed items in each screen (besides Control).

Cheers,

Is there a quick and easy way to show the availability/current shipping time of products? Maybe a hover-over button that explodes out more info of that nature. In the past, lead times have definitely impacted what I decide to order at a given moment

This is great...

Is AC Power Supply included in the purchase of a BRAIN? Or should it be listed as an option under Power?

other thing is it should recognize/recommend packages... cool stuff though, just like playing legos ;)

Chargers are in POWER tab.

We already have collections in the normal store. We can see about them being here as well.

A few other notes : )

This is a beta release so thank you for this feedback. Already in our Phase 2 roadmap:

* Qty's per unit
* Having hero image indicate most recent radio button selection
* Product availability indicator per item in configuration

Goal of this is to be a resource for people ready to take the RED plunge and them having the ability to be walked through a package. We purposefully did not put everything in here to make it a little less overwhelming. After configuring, a new customer is encouraged to talk to a BS rep if they have any questions. Plus, you can always add a configuration then continue shopping for additional AKS.

Our web team will be monitoring this thread - or you can also use the contact us link to send them feedback directly.

Ok, heading back to the NAB show floor. Stop by and say hi if you are still around!

Long overdue. I've always had trouble figuring out what components work with what attachments. It would be great if this was expanded to explain this better, but this is a great start.

That is evidence that you guys are not just thinking about the right things but taking action. I haven't even tried it yet but I give big points for the effort.

my dream quote only came to $52,040.... pocket change! :embarassed:

Great Stuff, thanks for making it even easier to configure and camera package

Keep up the great work!

What might be helpful are some "pre-configured" packages designed specifically for different stabilization rigs...

i.e. a movi m10 red package... A tripod red package... A crane package... An octocopter package... A steady cam package...

These packages would just be the red products that are required to function in those scenarios.
