BEFORE YOU POST:
This thread is NOT for discussing "why" or "why not" somebody else's guess would be right or wrong. It is simply for you to explain your GUESS and WHY you have this guess. That way the thread keeps clean. Thanks.
Whoever gets it closest, come NAB, wins bragging rights...
MY GUESS:
RED Ray Pro with "4K3D" abilities as well as 4K3D Projection within the large tent.
Why?
RED will already have the eye of virtually everyone due to EPIC/Scarlet. But why stop there? From the looks of it, RED had the opportunity to release a fully operational RED Ray Unit last FEBRUARY of 2010. Then, they showed it in full force at their RED Day Event at the Tropicana Hotel. Or did they?
RED has been very quiet about the development of what some foresee to be the most important products that one could bring to the 4K distribution markets (RED Ray). In the last 2 years, we have seen the obvious fact that 3D is making substantial headway in the Cinema. Perhaps this additional year of waiting has enabled them to bring about this RED RAY 3D Product...it would definitely be a show stopper on top of what EPIC and SCARLET are bringing to the table.
I've said it once before "I'd rather pay a premium for 4K before 3D", but what about 4K + 3D. It'd be a force to reckon with, and it may be closer than some of you think...
I may be over-estimating RED. But they've never given me reason to under-estimate them...
