  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

MYT Works Glide - Slider Group Buy

Any one have large 4' 5' or 6' with any of the cases, have checked theres for a domestic flight ?
If so what air line and did they charge more, what was your experience flying with it?

MYT tells me 4' in case and some get a way with 5"

You could always get a snowboard case. They fly all the time and are considered normal for most airlines. But that's if you have snowboards inside them....
 
Question. Are we supposed to check out once we fill our cart up? Or do we wait until the group buy period is over?

Thanks for your inquiry. Once you have put together your order, you will have to actually place it and make the transaction. Otherwise, we will have no way of verifying the final number of Red User orders at the end of the sale. If we do not get enough orders, we will be issuing refunds.

I've asked before in David's previous thread, and you pretty clearly stated the contrary in your previous post, but I'll ask anyway ; )

We already have a large sturdy mitchel mount slider. We're in the market for something small, light and ultra portable. That's why I'd be most interested to go in on this buy for the small size slider (for the smaller footprint, but also because its offered in 3', which the medium is not, correct?). It would be for use with a stripped down kit, with short primes only... So its seeming like the small size could handle it.

Any chance you'd either a) include the small slider in the deal (and what are your thoughts on using it with a slimmed down Epic kit [w a 100mm head]) and B) any thoughts on releasing a 3' medium sized slider?

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no, we are not in a position to offer the Small model through the Red User sale. The margins are simply too small, and we cannot afford it. I will copy below the information I relayed to another client asking about the same thing:

I will tell you that while the weight difference
between the Medium and Small models is minimal (just a few pounds more for
the equivalent length), the benefits of the Medium are great: increased
load capacity lends itself to a far wider variety of potential cameras and
setups that can be used; wider rail span results in a smoother and more
balanced configuration; double rails as opposed to the single rails used
on the Small means the Medium is not only stronger, but also that it is
equipped to handle a wider array of accessories; certain future
accessories systems will only be available for Medium and Large Glides
(like the MYT motor); the Medium and Large models are entirely
cross-compatible; and more.

Moreover, although the Small model is strong enough to handle an Epic kit, we would definitely recommend the Medium over the Small model for increased stability and assurance while operating.

In response to your question about the potential release of a Medium 3' slider model, we actually used to offer one. This was three years ago, and the demand was very low so we discontinued the model while continuing to sell the more popular 3' Small and Large systems. If we got a lot more interest, we would consider bringing it back. At this point, though, we haven't received many inquiries on the subject.

I love my MYT slider and would consider picking up another Im a little confused - how do partake in this and what is the discount.
