  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

My Scarlet will arrive tomorrow!

well said. toss everything else out the window, fame, money, glory... if you enjoy doing something, do it. yeah, 30k might be a lot to spend on a camera but if you don't spend the 30k and go for it, what then?

That's the reason why I got mine too. To grow, and to be open to new opportunities.

I finally got back in town and can play with camera. My Internet is, unfortunately, EXTREMELY slow here so r3ds may be awhile. I will definitely be uploading some though so everyone can play.

This is the absolute first shot I made with the camera. LOMO 35mm lens. Applied a curve in REDCINE X PRO and added some "Alchemy". Finished it off in Adobe Camera Raw (sharpening, resizing, etc.) More coming :)

I don't have a side handle yet so I am tethered to the house until it arrives.

First impressions: I love this camera!

Brandon, congrats! Very happy for you. May you film many great things with it.

Bart, and others. The heart of a community like this is to support each other, encourage each other. Those comments seem to fly in the face of that. Being critical when appropriate is fine, if it's a constructive comment meant to help someone. Not sure these comments you have made qualify as such. Why rain on Brandon's parade? I embrace what Brandon and other's are doing. Not for me to say it's a bad financial decision for them to buy a camera. Everyone has different set of circumstances, and are driven by different things. How do you know what they have for client base? How do you know what their financial situation is? Remember, respect for fellow filmmakers goes a long way to finding your own success. I'm happy for Brandon right now because I'm sure he can't wait to get out and create, and that's what it's all about right, whether you do it for money, for the love of filmmaking or for all of the above.

Well said Steve. Brandon, enjoy your camera!

Another test...
