I was so excited to go out and shoot I forgot to calibrate the blacks :(
Anyway Just some random hand-held shots. I already love this Camera. I would wait to color grade and edit it a little better but I'm too excited. This footage doesnt do the camera justice at all, neither does the compression....

Looks great Mohammad! I love seeing footage like this come out of the Middle East. Was shot in Egypt? Are you living there? If you ever get the chance, you should do something like this: http://vimeo.com/7058755

i like it, but tell us, how can a person from egypt afford an epic?

sorry dude, i didn't mean to be offensive, i was just curious, cause i cant afford an epic, lucky you, and happy shooting.
It's cool. I think people all around the world love movies. An EpicM is cheaper than your average 35. It's a wise invesment if you're making a living off renting/production etc. A lot of movies in the past couple of years ( especially in 3rd world countries ) have been shot on Red because it's cost efficient. The Egyptian movie market is the best ( most profitable ) among Arab countries and it's the best in the Middle East. Just for the simple fact that someone has to entertain the 80 million people living here.

Congratulations on the camera, Muhamed, and on the footage as well. Egypt is a very beautiful place. And don't take any offense at Eric's comments. He is probably one of those Americans you have been reading about who are in the lower 99%...

Rob I had a friend who had a last name of Taner (maybe Tanner?) he was from Turkey.

Mohamed, it is a little offenssive how Eric asked, but your reply was perfect... Wow.

Glad you have a camera in egypt. I like what you are saying in your vid; or what I imagine what you are saying.

Something like... young man overwhelmed or stepping out for a second to understand what is going on around him etc. etc.

Your part of the world is going thru some titanic changes. Can't even begin to imagine how it all feels, emotions, norms, all changing
and stuff.

Hope you can capture some of it from interesting perspectives.

Thanks for all the feedback. Any advice?
I was wondering what export settings does everyone use for their footage.

I'm going to be completely honest I really had no intention of saying anything. Just some random footage. Slow motion makes everything either look emotional or sexy. We are planning to shoot a short about a foreign reporter who got stuck here during the revolution. Should be Epic.
