My Experiences With Red #142

Once we lubed up the mount on Red #142, it felt great as well. The material used on the locking ring is definately better than the first model and they also made the .9mm screw a 1.5mm which is an improvement. .9mm shouldn't even be used at all. On the first mount, the aluminum was soft and was shaving particles off and going inside the sensor area. Not good. This one should hold up but time will tell.

One promising bit for the mount: I just had Evin's re-lubed at RED and it suddenly feels like a "real" PL mount. They use some thicker grease or something, but it actually feels as close to "right" as I've ever felt a RED lens mount feel.

Big steps in the right direction.
