  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I am a HUGE Muse fan. I think I'm the only one that may get tickets to the U2/Muse show here to see Muse!

New album is great. Crazy, original (other than the Queeen rips) and frenetic...but still nothing like anything out there right now.

What is cool about the few mono tracks out there is that they are the only ones mixed with the Beatles in the studio. Stereo was a new thing back then, and they apparently didn't want to be bothered with it. So it seems they would leave the studio after the mono mix was done and leave the other guys.

My guess ... I bet you already own a copy ... if not, and you can't find it I'll lend you mine...
 
J, I'm sure I have a copy somewhere - I'll have to have a look and see. I loved the latest one, Aerial though.

I mentioned Kick because of the Gilmore/Bush combination. I've not heard Aerial but I will surely track it down.

Sadly I will probably hear it digitally. My two technics/numark got stolen. This thread is such a great reminder to stop looking at cams and re-buy some decks.

edit: actually I didn't know she was still making stuff ... Aerial that is

Ok, got Kate Bush, "The Kick Inside" on vinyl. I thought I had a copy as I love Wuthering Heights. I've only got Aerial on CD, but it's one hell of a good album. A definite recommend from me.

Looks like you can get Aerial on vinyl from the UK. I'll have to find out if it's a good pressing...

I came to this thread late but when I read the words 'vinyl' and 'floyd' I knew I had to mention that album ... just gut feeling that it would be your cup of tea. Was hanging out with ppl in lanc, moors, heard intersting stories about Kate's life in london and how Gilmore discovered her. Maybe some harrowing stuff that should not be typed. Such unearthly music.

After reading your post I checked iTunes store and only some tracks from Aerial are available. Trust the brits to keep things analogue (altho u did say it's on CD). I think I will try to find it on vinyl first, especially now that it is in my mind.

i am big fan of "the kick inside", "aerial" is ok, but not as good ... anyway, your post made me curious - how did gilmore discover kate?

It's funny how you are coding for the best digital camera out there and yet you prefer to listen to music in Analog form. I understand it but it is just funny. I still have about 20 crates full of vinyl and 4 Technik 1200's in my basement. Spinning wax was the good old days.
