Hey guys, some grabs from a shoot for Irish band 'The Coronas'. Shot on a RedOne with Superspeeds.

There are a few more on my blog - http://piersmcgrail.blogspot.com/

I just love these grabs. What a nice feel to them all. Love the art direction and color grading. Thanks for posting!!

[Julien Deka]

Looks great

[Piers McGrail]

Thanks guys! Great to get the feedback.

[Michael Pyon]

Looks great guys. Would like to know what you did to get that beautiful grade.

[Phil Holland]

Looks fantastic!

[Piers McGrail]

Cheers. For the grade it's pretty simple, just a strong curve with RedColour2 and RedLogFilm. Little bit of playing around with lift/gamma/gain and I ended up with this! Usually I just play around in RedCine until something alright turns out.

[Timothy Jones]

wow, nice ! Makes me want to get a used Red One . Seriously .
Really liked the Where Faeries Dwell and Moths Heart .
Thanks,
Tim

The RedOne is a great camera - it's bascially just a slower version of the MX, with access to the latest colour science in RedCineX you can basically get the same look as Epic/Scarlet. So slower and heavier, yes, but still a really good camera. Probably a great deal once they start re-selling the used ones.

[Stefan Antonescu]

Very nice look.

Piers, did you use the original RedOne "M" and not the "MX" ?

[Piers McGrail]

It's the original M, not the MX.

[Shane Betts]

Very nice. I love the look of Super Speeds on Red. Far more than Cookes actually. Just a nice organic feel. Less clinical and clean.
