Multiple Aspect Ratio Monitors

[Reid Petro]

Hello,
I am doing a social media project where they want 9:16 16:9 and 1:1. Are there monitors that allow for multiple aspect ratios displayed at once? The only one I can think of is convergent designs.

best,

I did figure this out. In case anyone is wondering, I created the markers in photoshop with a 1920x1080 canvas then exported as a png with a transparent background. Then, loaded the image into a smallhd with the image overlay effect.

Hi Reid,

Made a really, really, really handy tool to do exactly this btw:

Most of the Small HD monitors will let you set up multiple guides ....and you can do most of it in the Red menu by using the frame, title and action guides all set to 100%. You just need to do them in the right order - use frame for 16:9, action for 1:1 and title for 9:16.

It’s like the old PITA we had to deal with in the early HD days of still framing everything within the 4:3 and just keeping anything “objectionable” out of the 16:9. But turned up to 11 and thrown into a Nightmare on Elm Street.

I can almost accept 1:1, but 9:16 just needs to go away and die and rot in hell forever.
