This is a test of multi GPU with Davinci (under Hackintosh). The CPU or disk is not a limiting factor in this test.

The config is, 1920x1080, r3d 4k, 1/8 res. 9 nodes (6 with blur@100)
The results are the same with 1920x1080 Apple ProRes

GTX480UI - this mean GTX480 with 2 monitors conected for UI.
GTX470 = Gigabyte GTX470 super OC.

Results:

1GPU GTX480UI - 22fps
1GPU GTX470UI - 19fps
1GPU GTX480 - 25fps (other card for UI)
1GPU GTX470 - 22fps (other card for UI)

2GPU GTX480UI+GTX470 - 40fps
2GPU GTX470UI+GTX470 - 35fps
2GPU GTX470+GTX470 - 44fps (other card for UI)

3GPU GTX480UI+GTX470+GTX470 - 53fps
3GPU GTX480+GTX470UI+GTX470 - 48fps

CUDA cores that are running:
GTX480 - 240 Cuda Cores (the rest are disable by the osx driver)
GTX470 - 224 Cuda Cores (the rest are disable by the osx driver)

get your own conclusions,

saludos,

Jose.

1/8 res is pointless. You should test 1/2 res.

Dusty

This is a GPU test only, not real work. 1/2 has a CPU limiting factor, because you can't play 53fps. But I get the same result with Apple ProRes that don't need too much CPU usage.

Jose

Jose did you reach 25fps on 1/2 debayer with i7 6core?
Is the responsivnes of the Resolve decreased with GPUUI+GPU setup?

No. The max is 22fps at 1/2good, I think you need i7 6core @ 5Ghz for 25fps. Or rocket.

In my opinion the responsiveness is very similar, i didn't test so much yet.

Ciao Jose ,
this is good test for testing gpu.:thumbup1:
But for me in left corner change only the color when cuda work much the fps decrease.i see max 25 fps.
in my case for test i use r3d 4.5k ws 1/8res . 21 node with 100% blur .
With this gtx 470 i have 25 fps.
