MSI GUS II Thunderbolt GPU Enclosure

[Doug Beatty]

I didn't see this product discussed yet, but it's another in the line of external Thunderbolt enclosures already announced by Magma, Sonnet, and Maxx Digital (hopefully still in development)

MSI GUS II

No support from Apple yet. I wonder if a Rocket would work with it?

$100-$150 not a bad option. Really curious to see how PC implements ThunderBolt

I have been wondering the implications of all this thunderbolt and having a modular computer. I wonder if anyone will be able to create a plugin box that has multiple cpus to increase a machines performance for rendering etc.. Mini thunderbolt render farms...With speculations of the death of Mac Pro, I wondering we'll have a modular system in the future for desktop solutions?

The whole Apple TB GPU thing is very unfortunate.

I only saw 1 thunderbolt port on the back... WTH

I know RED tested the Sonnet Echo enclosure with a Rocket card (successfully), but this looks like an attractive option also. Would love to see how it goes!
