Ordered the scarlet-x kit, (first time red user besides rental red ones) and thinking about monitor mounting on a shoulder rig.
This http://woodencamera.com/easy-stick is better.... but:

Even better would be the option of mounting the LCD directly to the left of the brain so when I have the scarlet on my shoulder rig, i can have the monitor directly in front of my face. (instead of looking up). Don't know if there is some crazy bracket, or rail mounted bracket but it's going to hurt after some shooting if i'm always looking up.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Actually if they could make the Easy stick a bit longer, you could mount the monitor upside down. Only problem would be to reverse it in post, plus the menus would of course also be upside down. But it could work - and quite nicely.

Great link to www.woodencamera.com , i'm trying to figure out a base for mount/rod-system with woodencamera ... that will work with focus/matte/etc ... for the scarlet ... any hints? Basic reason for woodencamera is it looks a bit cheaper then the RED plate items (which i'm sure are great ... but i need to cut corners without getting scratched).

I was thinking the same thing - mounting the LCD upside down in some configs. Maybe it could be added to the firmware - ability to rotate the display 180 degrees to correct for this. Deanan?
