News on any future RPPs? Development of 14mm, 65mm, 140mm or equivalent was announced, or suggested, last year I think...
Thanks,
Guido

Once the FF Epic and Scarlet are closer (which could be a while) I'm sure
they will also develop RPPs that fully cover the larger sensor.

But regarding your question, I haven't heard anything either.

I think the Anamorphics are canceled due to low demand, but i can´t find the post where it was stated.

I´m also looking forward to the 14mm RPP which they where working on a while ago.
There where also 21mm, 65mm, 140mm planned as i can remeber.

hope we see them comming soon.

Manuel

! would go for 14mm, 16mm, 21mm, 40mm, 65mm, 135mm and 180mm if it is an option!

Any chance Red Guys?

Probably because it doesn't exist.

Yeah no one ever said they were stopping development of the RPA's. Sure hope they don't! lookin forward to those puppies...

And we would have all taken notice. With three usual suspects agreeing I think you can feel safe about it again Manuel.

I'd also like to see a 21mm but together with a 28mm. They would be a nice alternative over a 25mm. Though the 25mm is a great RPP. And a 16mm too.

14, 16, 18, 21, 25, 28, 35, 50, 65m, 85, 100, 140, 300 :D

If I were a betting man, I'd guess that Red will make a set of RPPs that cover FF35 for the FF35 epic/scarlet that will complement the existing set, so a 21mm, 40mm, 65mm, 135mm, and a 180mm.

This way, people with the old RPP set like me have an incentive to buy both and have a 10 lens set, because I could use half of them on the FF camera.

Pretty much every day of every shoot, I ask my 1st for the 65mm, and he replies, so do you want the 50 or the 85?

I really think that the 65 would be my most used lens, and one of the selling points of RPPs, for me, was the promise of that 65...

PLEASE?

The choices over longer lengths are good to have as options but it is really in the wider lenses I have most need. Especially with the need to window to go HS. To have the option to use a 14mm or 16mm instead of the 18mm or 25mm when shooting HS wides is what I need most.

I frequently rent in a full set of ultra's for the choice in the wider end for commercials.

I'd agree with Michael about wides. 14 first for sure, 65M next, and 135 or 180 not much difference in their release order.

I'd ask for a 16 before the teles, but with 14 and 18 I'd ask for the 65M next for sure.

I still think a 21 and 28 would be a nice additions down the line.

Keep in mind they are trying to cover 5k with the 14, which as far as I understand is a pretty tough thing to do, probably even more so at the level of quality they established. Coupled with EPIC, it makes sense that it is taking a while. But like most things RED, once they come out they are worth the wait. Not that any of that helps you right now, just sayin'.

I hope you're all wrong. What Red needs to do is come up with lenses that are "great," not "great for the price."
