  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Monstro Low Light - Playing with Fire.

I just find that blotchy kind of noise in the shadows/underexposed areas too distracting. Imo it goes a little too far towards looking like digital artifacting, rather than a film-grain-like kind of noise.

Lets remember this is a pretty dark image at 1000ISO. And the light is not balanced this is something like K1800 so not much of the blue chanel in there. Its an image made out of a courter of a red channel a little bit of green and hardly any blue. And this is with jpg compression and flickr jpeg compression... Blotchy is what that gives you. :)

If you look at the full res file at flicker its not as blotchy. https://www.flickr.com/photos/108703124@N02/25342795237/sizes/l

I guess I just found an excuse to check out the noise-reduction in Resolve.

Seems to work alright.

Just F**King around.

Les,

That .GIf is great!! And especially when the eyes move!!

Thanks Rand, glad you took it the right way.

Love the bold colours you're using there.

It's All Good Les! Just funny seeing them all combined like that.

Zeb,

I had a little too much free time on my hands today.

That's sic!! How to you load gifs into RU?

That's actually the first one I've ever done. I made this one in GIMP, then just uploaded the gif file to the image-hosting site I use (Imageshack in this case) and embedded it in the post like any other picture.
