Technically it'd be the same noise profile/structure regardless of resolution. However, perceptively yes it would look nosier because you're only downscaling from 5k>4k and not downscaling from 8k>4k.

That said, while I haven't done direct comparisons, I wouldn't expect it to be any noisier than 5k Dragon-X footage (for example).

The noise is the same - but because you are zoomed in on it (8K-->5K) it will look worse/bigger.

this is not true for red dragon x the tech guy himself told me 400-640 is base for red dragon sensor i stopped using 800 my images are so much cleaner and still maintains highlight . i know everyone say 800 b ut they never even used any other camera but theres

That's what they're saying, Codakchris. ISO 400 on the Dragon is really ISO 800.

So, now, ISO 400 on ISO Calibration 2 is ISO 800 on a Dragon which is ISO Calibration 1. And vice versa.

I tried to explain to anyone who would listen they needed to be recording at ISO 250-400 on the Dragon before finding out this error had been officially acknowledged but NO ONE listened. Yet my imagery was always cleaner.

If I am set for ISO Calibration 3 on the Monstro at 660-700 ISO that should be a pretty clean image, correct?

Possibly the most interesting spam to date, and I can't imagine the farm in which this is coming from or even script running the bot.

But even quoting a valid reply and creating a somewhat sensical response while inserting phishing links within the quote itself won't get by moderation here on the boards.
