Monitoring looks blown out

Hey all,

My workplace recently purchased a RED V Raptor X, and we have been struggling day one with both the RED monitor and our Flanders monitor portraying a blown out image. Oddly enough, the in-camera exposure looks correct when brought into premiere. We addressed this with RED and the tech support could not find a remedy to what we are seeing despite going through a bunch of settings and still coming up short. To better show what I am talking about, attached are two images, one showing what the actual image looks like when brought into premiere, and the other is what we see on the monitor. Has anyone had any problems similar to this situation? If so, any advice or help is appreciated!

Haven't had a problem of this nature myself. Might be helpful if you check and also share your monitor settings-- for example, are you applying a LUT to your image? What ISO are you rating your camera at? (The attached jpg is too small to read those settings.) You probably already discussed these with Red, but these would be the first things I'd check in this event.

Yeah, thanks it's just the rec709 LUT thats on the camera and we are at 800 ISO. Any other suggestions? We have tried so much so its really bizarre, especially since it was this way out of box.

Are you sure that the Flanders isn’t applying additional processing/look on top of what the raptor is sending out? If everything looks good camera-side then there must be something going on monitor-side.

Thanks for insight into this. So, what's interesting is that the Flanders is showing exactly what the RED monitor is putting out which was making us think maybe it is an in camera problem in terms of how its relaying info to the monitor (despite the image looking fine in premiere).

also-no we don't have a double LUT on it I forgot to mention
