Is there a way to get a view from any of the outputs that is just the full image, without the surrounding image that isn't being recorded?

What about HDMI? Is there any output at all that can give a clean signal (Just what is being recorded) ?

A big pain this one, having different output dimensions in recording/playback. Lets say you shoot 1.85, have both evf and lcd connected which means you dont have markers in the sdi output. In this case you'll want to put gaffer tape or smthing similar in the monitor for markers. Now try to playback what you recorded. The picture is zoomed in and you have to remove the tapes... Bummer!

Is there a way to display the timecode on an external monitor? I'll swear that I've seen it on mine but can't find a menu item to toggle it. On the other hand, is there a cheap timecode reader that I could set up beside the monitor and run a timecode out from the camera if necessary?
Thanks,
Shane.

Just unplug either the EVF or LCD and you'll get timecode and clip name on the HDSDI. The graphics engine can only send that info to two of the three.
